What data we collect

Totala stores your financial data locally on your device by default. We do not access, read, or process your financial data on our servers unless you explicitly enable account sync.

When you create an account, we store your email address and an encrypted password hash. If you enable sync, your portfolio, balance, and transaction data is stored on our servers to allow multi-device access.

Analytics

We use a lightweight custom analytics system to understand usage patterns (page views, feature adoption, session duration). No third-party tracking services are used.

Analytics data includes: a random client ID, session ID, country (derived from IP, not stored), app version, and interaction events. No financial data is ever sent to analytics.

You can opt out of analytics by declining in the consent banner, enabling your browser's "Do Not Track" setting, or by using a content blocker.

Cookies & local storage

Totala uses localStorage (not cookies) to store your data and preferences. No third-party tracking cookies are set.

Data retention & deletion

Local data exists only on your device and can be deleted at any time via Settings > Reset App. If you have an account, you can request full data deletion by emailing support@totala.app.

Third parties

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties. The only external services are:

  • Google Sign-In (optional, for authentication only)

Your rights

You can export all your data at any time from Settings. You can delete your local data from Settings > Reset App. For account data, contact support@totala.app.
