By default, all your financial data is stored locally in your browser (localStorage). If you create an account and sign in, your data is also synced to our server so you can access it across devices. No bank connections are involved.
Go to Settings > Data and click "Export". This downloads a JSON file with all your portfolios, balances, transactions, and settings. Keep this as a backup.
Go to Settings > Data and click "Import". Select your backup JSON file. This will replace your current data with the imported data. A backup of your current data is created automatically before importing.
Go to Settings > Data and click "Reset App". This will clear all local data and return to the demo. If you have an account, contact support@totala.app to delete your server-side data.
Bank connections break frequently, require sharing credentials, and create security risks. Manual entry takes less than 5 minutes per month and gives you more accurate, private data with full control.
