Multiple portfolios help you track different people or purposes separately. For example: one per family member, or "Investments" vs "Cash". Each portfolio gets its own charts and stats, while the Overview shows the combined total.
Yes. Go to Portfolios, select the portfolio, and check "Exclude portfolio from net worth". This is useful for tracking assets you don't consider part of your net worth (e.g. a rental property's value that you don't plan to sell).
Cash, bank accounts, high-yield savings, investments, pension, crypto, real estate, stocks, funds, options, and more. Each type gets its own icon and is grouped in the allocation chart.
Each asset can have its own currency. Totala automatically converts everything to your main currency (set in Settings) using live exchange rates. Your net worth is always shown in one currency for an accurate total.
Archived assets are hidden from the balance page but their historical data is preserved. Use this for accounts you have closed. You can unarchive them anytime from the portfolio page.
